FREE Lesson: Tips on Starting a Massage-Spa Center and Nail Salon

Tips on Starting a Spa Business:
  1. Before anything else, write a sound and carefully devised business plan for a spa or have it written by some expert if you cannot do it yourself.
  2. Decide on a good name for your spa; a good name can do wonders for any business.
  3. Make a thorough initial market research before opening a day spa as it will give you an idea of what to do and how to do it the best way.
  4. Next, decide on the services that you will offer in your spa, giving description will help you get more clients if they know what services and treatments are being given.
  5. Find a perfect location where you can start a spa; it should be a place where lots of people notice it or pass it; it can also be at some remote location for more relaxation and away from stress but for that you need heavy advertising to promote it.
  6. Describe your services in detail in pamphlet, brochure or website as it can help get more clients and make you a more responsible and committed business enterprise.
  7. Get a license for opening a spa; this is the most important step to take once you make up your mind to step in this business.
  8. Get the interior of the spa done splendidly as it affects the customers a lot; a nicely and tastefully decorated spa can have a very good impression.
  9. Decide on the kind of equipment you need and how much you need to start the spa; make sure to get good quality equipment or lease it for better results.
